Calling all dog wa*kers.

Winds me up every time a see someone walking their dog on a lead.
Let them off on the fields and have a run,they enjoy it so much more.

Here in Northern Virginia you will get a $275 fine if your dog is not on a lead. I have no idea why.
I take my 2.5 year old Airedale Terrier into the woods, where the fat Animal Control people can't go because they are too fat and lazy, and I let her off the lead in the woods.
I rarely see her, since she is 'busy' chasing squirrels, imaginary or otherwise, or chasing deer, which is definitely not imaginary.
She's come back to me every time when I call her, completely knackered, and then spends the rest of the day asleep.

Coffee. I have two mate. German Shepherd and a little scruffy mongrel. It takes about a week to train a dog to go to heel. After that, no leads required.
I also retrain the odd dog for a rescue centre, so they can find a new home for them.

Fine... why's that... Dogs are not allowed on sofas or on Beds... unlike Cats who park their dirty arses wherever they want... hang on are you just against immigrant dogs like German Shepperds and Russian Terriers??

There's a well known saying by the Kennel Club;
If you see a man with a lead and no dog in sight, they own a beagle!
I have 3 of them, 2 are good off lead, the other chases bikes, joggers etc safer on a lead.
I don't expect everyone to like dogs but I do expect to be treated with respect when out with my dogs, some things that non dog owners do is incredible. One woman stamped her feet right in front of my dogs paw because the dog on lead were barking at another dog. Her husband told her off and I said do you want me to stamp in front of your kids - that shut her up.
Another time these teenies were winding my dogs up on lead again so I said I'll let her off the lead if you keep doing wheelies around her, they didn't listen and they shit themselves as the youngest chased them from one side of the park to the other!
